DescriptionPowerability is a mobile app that helps caregivers understand how to use mobility equipment. As caregivers, who work 24/7 caring for the patient, who is often a family member, it is often a challenge in knowing how to navigate the equipment. The equipment is often prescribed by a medical establishment, issued by Medicare with little to no education on how to use it.

In this presentation I will discuss my process of methodology using design thinking and user experience design principles. In my research I used user interviews, empathy and affinity maps, personas to guide my design decisions.

In this presentation, the audience will be taken from concept through research to design, what issues came up along the way, and what solutions the application is able to solve, and to future ideas.
