Pramiti Sarker is a Ph.D. student at Iowa State University in the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department. She was an intern in Kern Center at Mayo Clinic and holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Her research interest lies in minimizing the effect of muscle fatigue due to prolonged static posture through the use of microbreaks. She is currently working in designing a mathematical model that can optimize between workers’ performance and muscle fatigue level.
