Patient Safety Analyst/Consultant
Prior to joining ECRI and the Institute for Safe Medication Practice PSO as a patient safety analyst and consultant. Patricia served on the ECRI Partnership for Health IT Patient Safety as a senior analyst and health information technology liaison since 2017. In that role, she has chaired multiple Partnership workgroups, conducted data review and analysis, and interfaced with Partnership members drawing on more than twenty years of healthcare experience. The focus of the Partnership's work was safe health IT, using health IT safely, and using health IT for patient safety. She has experience as a Critical Care Nurse, Practice Administrator, EHR Implementation Specialist, EHR Director, and Project Manager. . She has worked in multiple settings including hospitals, ambulatory care centers, and physician practices.
Before joining ECRI Institute, Patricia was employed by Academic Urology LLC as the Electronic Health Record Director. Her responsibilities included that of HIPPA Security Officer, identifying strategies for improving quality performance, developing educational programs, managing all technology implementation projects, and leading the practice in the successful achievement of Meaningful Use and PQRS.
