Adeel Iqbal is a Research Analyst at the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. He currently supports research projects analyzing usability and health IT challenges associated with diagnostic errors and medication errors. His diverse background includes service as a journalist, international aid worker, non-profit program manager, clinical research analyst, Lean coach, and healthcare transformation leader. Mr. Iqbal has conducted clinical and health care operations research at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, Oxford Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His past research and projects have focused on improving the delivery of health care, with a particular focus on underserved patient populations. Mr. Iqbal holds a Master of Science in public health from Oxford University and completed his undergraduate studies in international development studies and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, he is pursuing his doctor of medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
