Neva is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Computer Engineering. At Illinois, she did STEM outreach to students in K-12 schools who are typically underrepresented in STEM fields as well as worked on extracurricular projects such as designing solar panels for a solar powered car. Last year she worked as an intern collaborating with a hospital to develop virtual and augmented reality applications to help train healthcare professionals which really sparked her interest in working in the healthcare industry. Neva is working with Dr. Mary Pietrowicz at the Applied Research Institute on software analytics for the prediction of anxiety and depression. She will be designing and building an app to facilitate data collection, data visualization, and some intervention for depression and anxiety.
