Biography
Dr. Papautsky is from University of Illinois at Chicago where she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and a member of the UI Cancer Center. She is a human factors psychologist. After working as a government contractor for almost 10 years, studying decision making in complex real-world environments (military, intelligence analysis, healthcare), she transitioned to academia in 2016 to focus her research on patient-centered topics, such as patient engagement and decision making. Her primary research focus is on characterizing patients’ roles and information contributions across the care continuum, particularly in cancer care.
