Miranda Cornelissen
Dr Miranda Cornelissen is a human factors and system safety expert with over 14 years’ experience working in transport, defence, emergency management and health. She has worked in research organisations in Europe and Australia, for international agencies within the UN and NATO, and state and federal government in Australia. Miranda has a PhD in Accident Research and Human Factors from Monash University and a Master of Science in Cognitive Psychology from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Before joining Acmena as a senior consultant delivering human factors and system safety services to various high risk industries including healthcare, she worked as a Senior Project Officer in the Incident Response Team at Safer Care Victoria (a state government safety and quality agency) and was a major driver behind implementing human factors, systems thinking and investigation methods within Safer Care Victoria and in healthcare in Victoria, Australia.
