Asif is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Community Health: Health Planning & Administration. He has served as an undergraduate research assistant at the Laboratory of Immunophysiology and Behavior. He is especially interested in the cognitive basis of Human-Technology Interaction specifically dealing with medical devices and wearable technologies. Asif is working with a team from State Farm Sundial Labs on a digital home assistant tool for older adults’ legacies. The proposed work involves developing a working prototype of a technical, voice enabled solution using a digital smart home assistant tool for older adults to “leave a legacy” through the sharing of life lessons, values, and memories.
