Emily Friedman is a designer, researcher, and human factors/usability specialist. Focused on healthcare delivery, she has led product and service design efforts with an emphasis on user experience and ethnographic research. Emily earned her master’s in Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute, holds a BS in Design & Environmental Analysis from Cornell University with a concentration in Human Factors & Ergonomics, and is a Board-Certified Professional Ergonomist.
As part of the ALACRITY Center’s core team, Emily translates various user perspectives into informed services, strategies, and design solutions. Before joining ALACRITY, Emily’s work experience included PATH, consumer advocacy publication Consumer Reports, and the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation.
